“My time at The Yoga Forest in Guatemala has ended (for now). I am filled with immeasurable gratitude for the last six months. I grew as a teacher, a friend, a Spirit, and human in many ways, including some I believe I haven’t fully realized yet. I was able to live life fully outside, immersed in Mother Earth and within community, which has helped open my eyes to a different way of life that I wasn’t sure was possible before. I have made friends from all around the world and gotten to know people from so many different cultures, all while staying in the same place. I awoke each morning to see the sunrise painting the sky through pine trees, and Volcano Fuego erupting across the lake. I experienced my first two earthquakes (more experienced quakers said they were merely tremors, which was fortunate) and I swam in beautiful Lake Atitlan. I am so grateful for the love, support, great hugs, laughter, music, and empowerment that my Forest Family shared. I knew it would be hard to leave, but I left with a heart full of love, joy, gratitude, and beautiful memories. Words cannot fully express the appreciation I have for The Yoga Forest and the people Divine Source brought into my life there. What a beautiful meeting place for so many beings of Light to convene. ”
