Spend a week on the stunning Lake Atitlán near San Marcos, Guatemala letting go of the stresses of every day life and enjoying the beauty of nature. Practice yoga twice a day with Jessica and Gillian, enjoy guided daily meditations, learn about + eat super foods, relish in three organic, vegetarian meals each day, explore the rainforest with guided hikes, and sleep in a beautiful cabana overlooking the lake. It's a 20-minute hike from town so there will be no distractions, but please be sure to pack light!

Among all the yoga and fun in the sun, on our retreat we will be learning about healthy living. A big part of healthy living is making sure we are giving our bodies the best fuel we possibly can! Incorporating high quality ingredients into your meals will take you a long way to feeling good, but why not take it a step further and feel THE BEST EVER! Let us teach you about the magical power of superfoods such as goji berries, maca, hemp seeds, chia seeds, spirulina, chlorella, medicinal mushrooms and ancient herbs! Each day we will learn about something new and you will learn recipes and creative ways to incorporate these nutrient powerhouses into your daily routine.

Gillian B

Gillian is a traveling nutritionist, yogini, and published holistic living writer from Toronto. From the earliest of years she found herself fascinated with the composition of the foods we eat. This love and passion for all things having to do with health led to a degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, which later developed into a career as the Director of Nutrition and Yoga for a health and wellness company called Truestar. Her personal experience with the practice of yoga led her to take her yoga teachers training at Maha Pura Yoga. Her experience practicing yoga has changed her life forever and introducing it to others bring her the great joy. She has recently begun the study of Chi Nei Tsang, a Taoist internal organ massage technique and has a keen interest in psychotherapy. Gillian strives to inspire as many people as possible by sharing wounds of the past and her journey of learning to love herself. She loves to learn new things everyday, teach, and empower others to overcome personal obstacles to bring about positive change and find inner joy and peace.

Jessica Pyper

Jessica is a yoga student, and teacher. She loves learning, but only things she's passionate about. Jessica has studied in Photography, Adventure Tourism Business Operations, and Yoga at the Himalaya Yoga Valley in Goa, India. Jessica's greatest passion is yoga, but she needs adventure like most people need to breathe. When Jessica isn't practicing or teaching yoga, you can find her snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, scuba diving, or surfing. Jessica enjoys teaching yoga because she loves helping people release their fears and learn to love themselves. Teaching people to love themselves including their imperfections and to believe in their own potential + beauty is the biggest reason why she loves teaching yoga. Jessica is passionate about eating healthy because health is happiness and its a very important aspect in the lifestyle she lives.
